The English poet William Wordsworth once wrote that "The Child is the father of the Man."
This means that their puritis and innocence are superior to those of adults, so perhaps Wordsworth meant that adults should try to learn from children who are the treasure of human beings and on whom we depend for the future.
But are their Rights fully protected and guaranteed?
The U.N.Convetion on the Rights of the Child, adopted by the U.N. General Assembly in November 1989 and opened for signature and ratification in January 1990, is trying to make sure.
It is the first world convention which considers all children's fundamental rights.

Robert De Niro: I've always wanted to direct. Years were going by and I thought I'd better do something, so I made a concentrated effort to find some material that I could get behind. I first saw A Bronx Tale as a oneman show about six years ago.
Q: Was it hard going from actor to director?
R: Having been an actor, I've been every problem that directors face. I had a lot of built-in security. I talked to other actor-directors like Danny De Vito and Jack Nicholson aobout their experiences.
Q: How do you, as a director, rate yourself as an actor?
R: Directing yourself is a little strange because it doubles the pressure. There was no lack of communication. I couldn't argue with myself about how something should be done.
Q: Did you have to get a bus license?
R: Yes, but I falled the written test twice. I had to learn things like what do you do if there are explosives on your bus.
Q: The movie captures a lost sense of nostalgia of belonging to the nighborhood, doesn't it?
R: I think that's particularly true. But things always look better in hindsight. Twenty years from now, we'll probably be saying waht a nice time this is.
