Sonny: You think I would hurt that boy in any way?
That boy is like a son...
ソニー: おれがどうにかしてあの小僧を傷つけると思ってるのか?
あいつは、息子みたいなものだ…。
Lorenzo: He's not your son. He's my son.
ロレンツォ:おまえの息子じゃない。おれの息子だ。
Sonny: Get out of here.
I wash my hands of you, Lorenzo.
ソニー: 出ていけ。あんたとは手を切るよ、ロレンツォ。
Lorenzo: I'm not afraid of you, Sonny.
ロレンツォ: 脅しはきかんぞ、ソニー。
Sonny; Well you should be-- and let me tell you something, Mrine.
This ain't the war and I don't give a fuck how many medals you got.
Just don't let me do something I don't wanna do.
Lorenzo; I know who you are, Sonny
-- and i know hwat you can do --
I would never be out of line
and you could ask anybody in this neigborhood who knows me
-- but this time you're wrong
-- you don't fool with a man's family --
this is my son, not yours
-- now you know I'm right, Soony.
Sonny:(Smiles) He said that to you?
I don't believe that kid.
Lorenzo:It's not funny, when your nine-year-old son has a bigger bank account than you do.
Sonny:That's not my problem.
I offered you a job.
All you had to do was drop my numbers off.
Nobody would have suspected you becausee of who you are...... But you said "no" to me.
Lorenzo:That's right.
And I say "no" again.
(He throws the money back on the table.)
And so does my son.
You keep your money.

〈Int. Chez Bippy. Day. Lorenzo faces Sonny about his son.〉
Sonny:I respect you, Lorenzo. We're from the same neighborhood... but don't you ever talk to me like that again.
I don't know what the fuck your problem is but I never influenced your son in any way. I tell him to do the right thing... to go to school and go to college.
Lorenzo:You don't understand, it's not what you say, it's what he sees.
The clothes, the cars, the money.
I tried to take him to a baseball game the other day and he said he didn't want to go.
